Think about all the things you think you know about goats.

“They are flighty and wild!”

“Smelly escape artists!

“They butt and bite and you need a mountain to keep them on!”

Some of these things I remember from the goats my mum kept 30 years ago at Carters, so when someone suggested we keep goats at Level Land Farm…I was not immediately inspired.

I can’t remember exactly how the farm club kids kids worked on me to agree to goats, but in the end, we found ourselves at Miller’s Ark community farm, picking up our first Golden Guernsey goats!
